Ordered the SD880IS to replace the 400. We are very happy with it. Great screen, nice button layout. Options take a little bit of a learning curve to master, but it's fun finding out all the capabilities of this gem. Glad I got the gold; it makes it a lot more special to the whole family. Overall, great!

The Canon PowerShot SD880IS is an excellent camera. It performed beautifully on my recent trip to Spain and Rome. I took about 400 pictures and the results are excellent, especially when the photos are projected onto a new HD TV screen. I am completely pleased with every aspect of this camera - another electronic wonder.Thank you.

Purchased this product (Canon PowerShot SD880IS 10MP Digital Camera with 4x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom) after seeing a friends during a recent cruise.
Previously owned a Sony Cyber-shot 3.2mp - it was an old trusty camera but had a small screen 1.25 X 0.875 and the Canon was much larger.
The cannon has more (and very interesting) features than I will ever use and takes superb pictures - portraits, machinery, indoors and out, close ups (including digital closeup), color transfer, etc.
There are other upper end Canon models but the screen is smaller and the size is slightly larger with even more features.
This one is highly recommended and easy to use.
Be sure to shop for a 4 or 8gb SD Memory card so you can take and store 2,000 + pictures on the camera. The 32mb card with the camera is too small. I also purchased a USB 2.0 SD/SDHC/MMC Card Reader / Writer by HDE for around $[...] which worked great for me (although there were bad reviews - how wrong can you go for [...] bucks - purchase it new)
