Product Description Olympus has given the SP-570 UZ the worlds most powerful ultra zoom digital camera an extreme makeover by creating the new SP-565 Ultra Zoom, a smaller and lighter version with the same amazing precision-crafted 20x wide-angle telephoto zoom lens (26-520mm equivalent), but the ease-of-use of a point-and-shoot camera. Photographers searching for an even more portable and approachable ultra zoom to take anywhere will rejoice in the cameras new form factor, and with 10 million pixels and Dual Image Stabilization delivering superior, virtually blur-free images, the SP-565 UZ is proof that good things do come in small packages. The cameras enhanced Face Detection can now track up to 16 faces within the frame and optimize exposure even when subjects are moving, ensuring that family reunion group portraits will come out well-focused. In addition, the SP-565 UZ ensures sharp, brilliant images with a host of other features.

still learning June 29, 2009 T. Wagner (ny) this camera does so much, im still reading the manual. it does require you to put in some practice, not exactly point and shoot. with a little effort tho it takes great pictures. shipping was amazingly fast.
Lovin' it! June 18, 2009 M. Hall (CA, USA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I thought I wanted extra zoom power and I would only find it by buying big with extra ad on lenses, but I got nervous when I read a warning about changing lenses in a dusty area! What a great camera this is with its built in 20x Optical Dual Image Stabilized Zoom! I took it on a camping trip this weekend and had great fun learning all its features. I especially like the Panorama mode that puts 3 shots together automatically! Great price, great features, great camera!

This product displayed purple streaking at long focal lengths. It was returned in spite of the sizable restocking penalty. I didn't compromise the second time. I bought a Nikon D80 with all the lenses and accessories and am I happy with it! It always pays to buy a proven and well-reviewed product right out of the gate. Mel Wymystr

I bought this camera as a last second idea for my trip to Thailand. I got it with time to spare and using mostly the auto setting I am getting fantastic pictures. Great camera at a great price!
