The photos were not crisp enough. It was pretty interesting shooting footage under water but the image just didn't pop.

This is a nice little camera if you're planning your next snorkeling trip!
I bought it specifically for that and enjoy it immensely during our (short, unfortunately) vacation to Aruba.
Before leaving I "practiced" at the neighborhood pool and in just a few moments I figured out the underwater set up and took some funny pictures of the kid.
I was nervous about salty water, but it worked perfectly there too and in no time we were taking great pictures of lots of colorful fishes of the Aruba reefs.
I took good care to rinse off any salty residue, as recommended, by washing it in fresh water every evening at the hotel and dry it well with a towel.
No problem to report whatsoever. Loved the light weight, not so much the big size of the battery recharger. Well, none's perfect and that's just a secondary thing.
As a suggestion, I would also recommend to buy the Pentax Floating Wrist Strap. It was very handy, and I could let the camera go and let it float in front of me while adjusting mask and snorkel.

I really like this camera. I bought it because it was waterproof, but discovered it was capable of almost as much as my DSLR. It is small enough to keep in my purse so I have it for all occasions!

The Pentax Optio W60 10 megapixel camera was a great addition to our digital camera collection. We used this on a trip to Kota Kinabalu, Malaysia recently for pictures taken while snorkelling. The images were true to colour, and the movie feature was great to use while feeding the fish. However, when used on land for out of water pictures, the images tend to be a bit grainy when used in lower light situations which was a bit disappointing given that it is a newer camera than our point and shoot Nikon which gives incredible clarity in low light.
Overall, we are pleased with this product for its pictures in watery situations.

This camera was bought simply to be able to snap pictures anywhere. I bought this camera because I was very unhappy with my Canon Powershot and the picture quality I was getting out of it. I owned a Pentax before the Canon and I loved it (unfortunately so did my puppies). My husband and I love the outdoors and we whitewater raft throughout the summer and take vacations to oceanic regions, so the waterproof option was highly desirable for us. I think the picture quality is amazing and there are so many features in the easy to navigate menu that you can get just the right setting for pretty much anything that an average person would need to take pictures of. The battery life has been good, much better than my previous cameras. I will, however, be purchasing a second battery that can be charged in advance for especially long days out. I highly recommend this camera.
