This camera blurs 1 out of 5 pictures - even on automatic mode July 3, 2009 Tell It Like It Is (San Diego, CA) This camera blurs my pictures. I am not a pro photographer by any means, but this camera makes things much more difficult then my old cybershot. I am selling this one on eBay and going to buy the cybershot T900
Best Digital Camera so far July 2, 2009 A. Rabiee (Bronx, NY) I used to have a Sony P10 for six years and I loved its image quality in My any light conditions, battery and other stuff except it size which is a little bit large. I tried many other Sony digital cameras (T and W series) since two years ago but they disappointed me one by one specially from image quality point of view. Sony Cyber Shot W300 is the best digital camera among almost eight Sony and Canon top digital cameras which I worked with since two years ago.
Wow! June 24, 2009 Doctor A. (San Diego, CA United States) Outstanding camera in every respect. I've owned several digital cameras in recent years, both Nikon SLR as well as Sony point & shoot. The W300's large LCD, the quality Zeiss optics, and the overall ease of use top any of my previous small cameras.
I use the W300 for both land and underwater photography and it performs flawlessly. As an accomplished photographer, I'd rather admire my photos than fiddle with equipment -- so for me, the simplicity is good. The close-up capabilities and the high-resolution images rival some SLRs. Good job Sony!
Shame on Amazon! June 22, 2009 John R. Glover (The Woodlands TX) 2 out of 4 found this review helpful
Amazon lists this camera for $799.82! It sells anywhere else from $265 to $310. Reviewers are complaining that the camera is not in stock but that Amazon does not reveal this clearly - a great disservice to customers. When I phoned Amazon to question why a "great" company such as theirs would even put on line a seller's price at three times the usual cost, I must have been talking to robots or people with low IQ's. The people I spoke with were indifferent, rude, and stupid in their comments. Each tried to school me in Marketing 101. None could deal with my direct question about why Amazon on their network would allow any seller to offer a $300 camera for $800. This is an insult to buyers. When I asked a "manager" for Amazon, who insisted that no one was higher up than he, whether they would allow a listed price of $10.000, he said that no one would buy it at such a price. I said, "Exactly, and who would buy the camera at $800?" Like a robot, albeit not a smart one, he took me back to Marketing 101. He kept trying to explain the free market to me, which was never my point. The issue is whether Amazon should allow any vendor to advertise such a price on this camera through Amazon. The camera may be wonderful, but Amazon has really disappointed this former friend and and frequent buyer. I am appalled. Shame on Amazon. I expect better.
no memory card June 11, 2009 Paul (Trinidad and Tobago) The product did not have a memory card enclosed, otherwise it is a good camera.
